Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled Celebrates Sports Achievements with a Gift from the Ruler of Sharjah
Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled held a ceremony to honor athletes who have achieved sporting success, thanks to a generous gift from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, may God protect him, in recognition of their efforts and honorable accomplishments.
The ceremony was held at the Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled headquarters, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Khalid Omar Al Madfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, Mr. Ahmed Nasser Al Fardan, and members of the Board of Directors: Engineer Yousef Muhammad Al Doubi, Mr. Abdul Ghafour Al Raisi, Ms. Noura Al Madfa, and a number of sports and administrative figures.
The ceremony was presented by Mohammed Abdullah Al Qaid Al Hammadi, Acting Executive Director of Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, and reflected a celebratory atmosphere expressing pride in the sporting achievements.
The ceremony honored the male and female athletes, coaches, staff, and all those who contributed to achieving honorable sporting accomplishments that raised the name of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Sharjah in various sporting arenas. His Excellency Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa also honored Mr. Ahmed Nasser Al Fardan in recognition of his outstanding efforts and achievements during his tenure as Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council. He also honored a number of the club's veteran members in appreciation of their contributions and role in the club's history.
In his address, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa expressed his deepest gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, for this generous gesture and for his unwavering support and care for people with disabilities. He emphasized that His Highness's support serves as a powerful incentive to continue achieving further sporting accomplishments.
