Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled Welcomes a Delegation from the Family Affairs Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council
Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled welcomed a delegation from the Family Affairs Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council, headed by His Excellency Saeed Matar Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Committee. The delegation included Her Excellency Halima Humaid Al Owais, Vice Chair of the Council, along with Council members Hamid Obaid Al Hamoudi, Abdullah Salem Al Kaabi, Abdullah Rashid Al Ketbi, and Sheikha Khalfan Al Naqbi, in addition to representatives from the General Secretariat: Abdullah Mohammed Al Sufi and Sumaya Jassim Mohammed.
The delegation was received by His Excellency Dr. Khalid Omar Al Madfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, and Board members Khalifa Al Shaer Al Suwaidi and Noura Al Madfa, along with Mohammed Abdullah Al Qaid Al Hammadi, Acting Executive Director of the Club.
The visit aimed to learn about the achievements of Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled and to explore its future plans and programs in the sports and cultural fields. During the meeting, the club's most prominent initiatives and programs were reviewed, along with discussions on upcoming projects aimed at empowering people with disabilities and enhancing their active participation in various community activities.
The delegation also toured the club's facilities and premises, observing the resources and services offered. This visit reflects the Sharjah Consultative Council's commitment to supporting institutions dedicated to serving and empowering people with disabilities and strengthening their role in sports and culture within the emirate.
