Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled organized a celebration to mark Emirati Women's Day. The celebration included the national anthem and sports and cultural activities featuring the club's members, with the attendance of a number of female academics, community leaders, and mothers of members.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Maryam Balajid and Dr. Hamda Al Awadhi from the University of Sharjah, and Ms. Fatima Al Sajwani from the Association of People with Disabilities. Also in attendance were Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Qaid Al Hammadi, Acting Executive Director, and Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Al Raisi, Board Member. A number of mothers were also present, including the mother of the outstanding player, Thani, Ms. Amani Muslat Saeed.
On this occasion, Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, said:
"Emirati Women's Day is a national occasion on which we renew our pride and appreciation for women who have proven their presence and achievements in all fields. At the Al Thiqa Club, we are proud of our mothers and daughters, who are a source of inspiration and generosity. We pledge to our wise leadership to continue supporting the empowerment process and strengthening the role of women in society."
The ceremony concluded with honoring the participants and exchanging congratulations on this precious national occasion.
