As part of the Sharjah Summer Program "Our Holiday is Different," the Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled organized a cultural and educational visit on Thursday for a number of club members to the Sharjah Aquarium and the Sharjah Maritime Museum. The visit combined fun and knowledge.
Participants began their visit at the Sharjah Aquarium, where they explored more than 20 aquariums displaying marine environments rich with coral reefs, sharks, and local marine life. They also explored interactive touch tanks, providing an engaging sensory and educational experience.
They then headed to the Sharjah Maritime Museum, a timeless gateway that transports visitors to the world of the ancient past. They learned about the history of maritime navigation, the stories of early sailors, and traditional fishing tools, on a cultural journey that embodies authentic Emirati heritage.
This visit is part of Al Thiqa Club's plan to offer integrated educational and recreational summer activities that contribute to enhancing environmental awareness and national identity. This visit is supported by the Sharjah Sports Council, which oversees the annual "Our Holiday is Different" program.
