Al Thiqa Club for People with Disabilities continued its success and excellence, winning first place in the Emirates Creativity Award for People of Determination in the Supporting Institutions category. This recognition acknowledges the club's pioneering role and ongoing efforts in serving and empowering people of determination, both athletically and socially.
The club was honored during a ceremony held at the Higher University of Technology in Sharjah. Her Excellency Dr. Khulood Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Association, presented the award amidst a celebratory atmosphere that reflected the significance of the achievement and the importance of institutions supporting people of determination.
The club's achievements extended beyond the institutional level, as several of its members also excelled. Mohammed Abu Zahra secured second place in the Individuals category – Arts, while Azad Jumaa Ebo won second place in the Media category. Mohammed Abdullah Al Qaid Al Hammadi, Acting Executive Director of the club, was crowned First Place in the Athletes category.
